Paper wrinkling is the second issue. Wrapping a flat sheet around a curved form risks wrinkling, particularly with lychee-grain textured paper. Creases against the grain direction are visible. We pre-condition the paper and use a mandrel matching the cylinder diameter precisely. Wrapping speed matters — too fast and the paper can’t conform without stress.
The EVA interior requires its own precision. The paper laminated onto the EVA surface must be registered accurately — if it shifts, edges don’t align with the cylinder walls. We use fixed jigs for EVA lamination. The 7-slot tray is fixed to the cylinder base during assembly; slot alignment is verified on the first sample before the production run starts.
Cylinder dimensions must be precise to ±0.5mm. Oversized and the tray won’t seat correctly; the assembled corporate gift box feels loose. Undersized and the tray won’t fit at all.
One detail worth noting: there is no hot stamping on the curved surfaces of this corporate gift box. Hot stamping on a curved surface requires a curved die and specialised press setup, which significantly increases cost. Print is two specialist colours; additional colours are available at higher cost. The cream text colour is adjustable.
The standard tray holds seven products in a one-large, six-small arrangement. If your product set uses a different count or a different size distribution, the tray is redesigned accordingly. Provide your product dimensions and we will propose a slot layout. The tray is fixed to the base, so slot positions are confirmed during sampling.
